This three layer system keeps energy created by the spa “in” the spa.
Fireplace Safety | Fall Home Maintenance
Fireplace Safety | Fall Home Maintenance
Time for Fireplace Safety | Fall Home Maintenance! Keep your chimney safe! Your safety is our priority at Bare's Stove and Spa. KBZK recently interviewed Bare’s Stove and Spa’s own Tony Blomert regarding proper hearth maintenance.
Cold weather is upon us and everyone is starting to fire up their stoves and fireplaces. Stay safe this winter and follow these tips. First get your stove, fireplace or fireplace insert and chimney inspected and cleaned. Keep combustibles at least 3ft away from hearth appliances. Five feet away is better but a 3ft minimum distance away from a hearth product is an industry minimum recommendation.
“How long and how cold it is and how much wood you're burning the chimney could become coated and become a fire hazard,” said Central Valley Fire Marshal Bruce Hennequin in an interview with KBZK.
In addition in the interview with KBZK, Chief Hennequin also stated “Obviously if you’re using a wood-burning appliance, wood stove, fireplace, anything along that line, we encourage you to have the chimney inspected and cleaned at least annually if not twice a year depending on how long and how cold it is and how much wood you're burning”.
Tony Blomert at Bare’s recommends “Getting a qualified chimney sweep or doing it yourself with the proper equipment is the number one safety feature that any homeowner needs to do”
Before winter hits make sure to have your stove, fireplace, fireplace insert inspected and cleaned.
